MENA Friends of the Global Fund has a big story with those who take the initiative; as a health NGO, MENA Friends has never been brought to life without Darwazeh Family's initiative to carry out the case of three epidemic diseases (AIDS/HIV, TB & Malaria) in the region.

The courage and energy they pumped into the soul of this NGO was such a big motivation for all the believers among the MENA Friends’ community. The story started when H.E Mr. Samih Darwazeh decided to be the first believer in the region who takes his belief into an action, jointly with Hikma Pharmaceuticals PLC a generous donation to launch the Friends of global fund- MENA (MENA Friends), and then continuously followed by an ultimate support and assistance all the way along. The wide experience and belief of Mr. Samih Darwazeh were the light needed to open up a new road and to tap on those diseases in the area where there are treated like a stigma and taboo, his will to protect the MENA region and his vision to involve it in eliminating those diseases all around the world where the very big bottom line for our plans and ambitions.
